Oslo Cancer Cluster was awarded status as one of twelve Norwegian Centres of Expertise (NCE) by the Norwegian government in June 2007. This ensures Oslo Cancer Cluster long- term governmental support and funding.
Norwegian Centres of Expertise is a governmental initiative for internationally oriented clusters with the highest potential for further growth. The NCE programme aims to strengthen innovation and internationalization processes in clusters based on collaboration between companies, R&D and educational institutions and public sector.
The NCE programme is a joint venture between Innovation Norway, The Research Council of Norway and the Industrial Development Corporation of Norway (SIVA).
