The vision of the Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park is to create Norway's leading environment for education, research and industry within life sciences, while shorten the time it takes to develop new cancer medication and diagnostics.

Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park is a unique project. Unlike other Innovation Parks this will integrate a high School, namely Ullern High School. This will give the pupils at Ullern a rare chance to receive guest lectures from researchers, and do internships both in the member companies of Oslo Cancer Cluster and at the Norwegian Radium Hospital. The collaboration between Ullern High School and Oslo Cancer Cluster has already started. One of a kind
As far as we know, the Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park is the first in the world to integrate a high school with research institutions and leading biotech companies within the field of cancer R&D.

“The Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park will ensure and strengthen the recruitment to life science and research. At the same time the Innovation park will improve the quality of the education within math, science, physics and health- and social subject», says Kaare Norum, former head of the University of Oslo – now chairman of the board of the Oslo Cancer Cluster innovation Park.

Political support 
The Innovation Park will be situated next to the Norwegian Radium Hospital, to guarantee a close collaboration with the hospital's Institute of Cancer Research. Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park received the formal approval by Oslo City Council to start building the park October 27th 2010, and has great political support both on a regional as well as a national level. The Innovation Park will open in August 2014.
